Default Problem with 97 Accord AT. Tranny slipping. Help!

Hi I'm looking for help to diagnose the problem with my tranny. While cold the car drives normally and the cars shifts smoothly, but after the car gets to its working temperature range the tranny starts to slip and the car doesnt move forward. Reverse works like a charm. Anybody else had that problem before?

The only suggestion I'd have, is to have a trans flush done. The kind where they hook up to the trans cooler lines and completely exchange the fluid. I'd make some other suggestions but the truth of the matter is that you are not going to open up the trans and do any repairs.

it could be trans pump failure

it could be bad clutch packs

it could be seals

it's damn near impossible to tell without taking the unit apart......

either way time for a rebuild

Thanks! I'll take the car in for a diagnostic and if its something big I'll take the tranny out and rebuild it or find another one in good condition.
