can i get some help about GSR & ITR ?
Dont flame me guys but i do know the basics & differences about ITR & GSR . I'm coming from the Subaru world and i recently been using my girlfriends 2000 Civic Si and NOW , i understand why people love Hondas . I can truly admit that i appreciate and can see the potential of Hondas and Acuras . And i always thought that they did like nice .
i'm in the market for one at the moment and i'm really looking to buy soon . here are the 2 cars that i have stumbled upon . theyre both stock .
2000 Acura Type-R (black) 103k miles $13,000
2001 Acura GSR (silver) 76k miles $9,995
both are NOT from the Honda dealership . I plan to use the car as a daily driver and only do simple bolt-ons since i dump all of my money into the Subaru .
But coming from the Subaru scene , I might want to turbo the car . What is the pros & cons of turbocharging and supercharging either cars ? and if i chose to do force induction , which car would be a bettter choice ?
thanks

you live in jersey, i would stay away from the type-r unless you have a garage.
in all honesty, i would look at an LS if you plan on going boost in the future.
if you just want to do basic bolt-ons, go with the gsr.

i'd be a little weary of an itr for that cheap. but if it checks out good it's a nice deal. if you're going to turbo, go with the gsr. if you want to stay NA, go with the itr.
personally i would go with the gsr because 1) it has less miles (althought that doesnt really mean **** because its a honda) and 2) the gsr is cheaper in which case u could put that extra money towards a turbo for it and have alot of fun. But thats what i would do. Check em both out though. Good luck!

but 103k on an ITR?....

As long as the appropriate maintenance has been done there is nothing unappealing about 103K miles. There are many on these boards who have far higher mileage. Just bc its an ITR doesn't make the way mileage is viewed differently than other vehicles.

If your going to dump all your money into the suburu then my as well get the gsr. It's more comfortable as a daily driver and you have more money left over to invest in your suburu. Getting a ITR would be like you having two main car. Then you'll invest in another beater? gsr=better beater car than ITR.
lets say i choose the GSR and decide to boost it , what is a good kit out there ? full race ? and also , what numbers am i looking at without changing internals ?

You can easily make 300 whp with a good tune. You can also peice together your own kit, it would be cheaper.
