Lug Grommet for Si Rims - What's the deal?

Here is some fodder for discussion:
It's a long, complicated story, but here's the point. One of the grommets (that goes around the stud - the part the actual lug nut seats on) came out of my wheel and was lost. I didn't know up until then that there was even a separate piece in there.
Anyhow, any cheap solution suggestions? The dealership does not sell this piece, and I don't want to buy a whole other rim.

No, no pics. No camera. I pulled those picks from some dude's eBay auction (if he wants them down, PM me).
No they definitely are not washers. The Si lugs have a "flatter" mating surface than the longer regular civic wheel lugs. When you remove the grommets, you can fit the longer lug nuts and they sit correctly. However, the short Si lugs won't tighten to the rim without the grommet on there. In length, they are as long as the rim is thick and show through on the other side.

Reading owns.
... and yes, I have searched other sites. There is no part # for the grommet. It is only sold as part of the wheel.
I don't know why you need to see it up close anyhow. You can't tell what's going on in there without taking it out anyway. I was just asking for alternate suggestions and if anyone knows what other wheels use these.

This is the first time I've ever heard of this. The only differences I was aware of regarding lug nuts between Honda/Acura models consist of special lug nuts for cars with plastic wheel covers; all other Honda/Acura wheels I've seen have had the lug nut in direct contact with the wheel, nothing in between. (I'm not doubting that what you say about your car/wheels is true, but I'm pretty sure it's not very common.)

Anybody noticed this before, or am I the only one.
Also... I will entertain offers for anyone getting rid of a single 99-00 si rim - bent, broken, curbed - just one, though. I don't have much cash, but a busted rim certainly ain't doin you no good. Sell it to me for cheap!
