Default removing door beams in a 5th gen

is this fairly simple to do, with just removing the door trim and unbolting or does this require cutting?

On my 4th gen it looks like you would need to take the door skin off. I could be wrong.

The question begs to be asked: Why?

They're welded in and they don't even weigh that much.

I would be scared not to have them in a daily driver...

those door beams saved my friend's life. two of them in fact. the lude doesn't weigh 3000 for nothing.

Damn right safety first...that is why I do not get an aftermarket steering wheel, I want that airbag.

Besides...don't drive faster than your angels can fly.

have you ever stopped to think about your airbag?
it's over 10 years old.....you know they are supposed to be checked/serviced after 10 years right?
it's also 1st gen srs....which means it will deploy much faster than the newer bags....they changed this because the 1st gen bags where injuring people on deployment

airbags are dangerous to begin with. the amount of force that they deploy with is enough to break your arm if you happen to have it there when it deploys. and you can quote me on that. but yeah i should definitely get that checked. i dont want to take it to honda cuz i know they'll just bend me over and screw me. does this require a specialist or no?

im assuming so...i would only trust someone specialized in airbags doing it anyway.

i love how the thread has shifted from removing door beams to checking your airbags. gone this far off topic oh well.. i just wish the horn button wasn't so sensitive. on numerous occasions i've had times where i would accidentally press the horn while turning quick.
