Which direction to go?
Okay, so I'm a young owner of an 06 Civic EX Sedan with an extremely low budget (I'm still in high school if that helps, but I am old enough to know a lot of what I'm talking about) and I'm wondering where I should start. I want to begin with the aesthetics right now, since the engine and performance usually gets into the big bucks. The only performance upgrades I'll do soon are probably like exhaust and whatnot. But I've found a few body kits and things but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas. I'm not going for the ricer/Fast and Furious look but I don't want it looking blah either. Here's the body kit and rims I like as of now, of course that could all change soon. Anyways, any ideas are appreciated. Thanks

That's the pic of the coupe version. They have a sedan version as well.
As for the painting etc. I got that covered. Got a friend who owns a body shop.

So why would you bastardize a brand new car?

You get what you pay for
cheap kit = cheap materials = cheap fitment
HFP kits +1
I'd suggest trying to find a nice blend between modded and stockness, my family's civic is still stock for a couple reasons but I'd done little things here and there. My accord's interior is 100% stock, with some stock alloys, but it's dumped on GCs and Koni's with JDM headlights, it keeps it to a point where I can easily put it back in stock condition but gives it a good look.
Start with some little things, maybe take out the orange reflectors ? Silverstar headlights or an HID retro? Upgrade the wheels, upgrade the suspension , exhaust CAI some little things that'll make the car perform better but help out the look as well
I bet once you did like the HFP package, the headlights and suspension you'd be surprised how good it'd look

aftermarket kit = fiberglass, lower value on car, cracking, fitment problems & paint not matching
oem kit = flawless fit, warranty & comes paint matched.

everyone is going to do what they want to their cars. if u are gonna get an aftermarket body kit and put it on, it might be cheaper at http://www.showstoppersusa.com since all prices shown are prices shipped. go for a carbon fiber hood (if they have one for the 4 door or if the coupe will fit but i dont think it does but i could be wrong). get the basics for performance and then go for looks. everyone is on a budget, just depends on how much of a budget it is.
as for looks, before deciding 100% on a body kit, keep in mind that if u lower it and have a fiberglass kit on its going to crack and get all kinds of f'ed up. do what u want and what is going to make u feel better about ur car. but remember that parts are still being made for our cars and arent available yet. so go slow and see what comes out over the next 7 months.

Smells like someone is cooking up some uncle bens
You have a brand new car. Don't go ricing it up like a lot of other Honda owners around here do. You're giving your peers a bad reputation

Here's what you do:
1. Thank Mom and Dad for the brand new car.
2.Thank Mom and Dad for gas/insurance.
3. Use you measly minimum wage paychecks to help pay for 1. and 2.

been through many front bumbers with my body kit on my accord. seems like no matter how careful you drive theres alway that one drive way that is to steep to driveup and scrape alittle there and then you hit a bump and scrape some there and before you know it you'll need another bumper or possibly a kit. I like the body kits that are out for this car and almost bought one my self but I just couldn't bring my self to do. I just wasted so much money on buying, painting, maintaining my old kits that I decided it just wasn't worth it.
Cliff Notes: The Rims look good but I would probly just go with the HFP kits or soemthing along those lines.
