yeah...it's really not that bad, just smokes a bit under vtec...

could it be a bad headgasket between cylinder 2 and 3 possibly?

My guess is either rings or valve seals. How many miles are on the car? Also, does it smoke a little bit when you first start up the car?

82k miles, but no air is coming out of the intake or exhaust valves during the leak down...

basically...yeah, im not worried about the other owner paying for it...i already had to put in a new input shaft bearing and seals in...i guess if worse comes to worse jdm itr pistons and mugen 2 layer headgasket...

just sucks cause i cant have any downtime on the car since she is my only one...

but look at the head, there is no way that has 82k miles...i think the head has been off before...

hmmmm did you see if it is coming out the dipstick? that would indicate rings, which it definitely could be. ever ran under 91 octane?

if your 100% sure no air from the vavles then you have either bad rings but damn thats alot of loss... does she drive like normal? only smokeing under vtec is not to adnormal for b series, now a smoke screen is... are you sure the guage you used is in working order?... i know a good shop in cosackie if you want he builds LS motors making 180whp reving past 8k he knows his ****... get back with more info...

i just spoke with the previous owner and he said he didnt do that, all he did was just two oil changes when he had it...

the reason why i think it's a new head is because it's usually hard to change springs/retainers without dropping a valve (yes it can be done without removing it).

so now, ive got a lot of work a head of me...

you can do the springs with shop air, you do not have to take the head off for that

check those retainers ASAP! There is no telling how long they have been on the car. And if they are the same Ti retainers I used to have, they wear very quickly. Mine showed wear after only 20K. Ill see if I can find a pic.

nice leakdown

Did it idle badly? I know we had a GSR engine with similar results as yours, and it sounded like a Subie at idle.

The ITR valvesprings should have paint on the top and be Yellow on the intake side and Blue on the exhaust side.

Does this rule go for any other Titanium retainers, even skunk2 ones? i had mine go into pieces along with their valve spring too, which fuked up my whole motor.

nope, idles like normal...no suby sound here...

these were all black, id imagine them being crowers because of the retainers (why change one thing and not the other).

id figure the paint may wear away though?

I still have the crower springs even though I took out the crower retainers and put the stock retainers back in. neither the crower or stock springs are black...
