I just finished putting my d15 back together. When I first started it up it smoked a little but went away. I cut it off and did a few things. When I started it back up it didn't smoke at all, but as soon as i gave it a little gas it started smoking again. Would you think that this could possibly be my rings?


New Valve's (Seated by professional)
New valve stem seals
New gaskets

I took it for a little drive and it didn't smoke enough that I noticed it.

Cylinder walls had a bit of surface rust that ended up coming clean very easy.

sounds like blowby...did you change the rings recently or they havent been touched?

They were never touched.

they probably need to be replaced....since you did the valve seals thats my only other guess
