wierd cel, help im about to loose my mind
Ok, I get this cel on warm days over 70, and 4 out of 5 times I hae had a passenger. It comes on while driving and goes off when I turn the car off. The car doesnt go into limp mode b/c I still have vtec. But I cant check it because when I shut my car off, bridge the connector, and turn the ignition to acc, the cel is gone! Can i check it with the car running? Before I had a cel that would reset itself and it was a bad knock sensor, or a KS wiring problem. I checked my connections and coated them with 3m insulation, and I thought it was fixed. But that code would let me check it. Could it be like a loose wire which triggers the cel, but the connection is sufficent enough to fix itself. I dont have my ecu cover on so before I thought it was something with the passengers feet and the ecu, but the last time it came on there was no passenger. I didnt know a cel could reset itself w/o pulling the ecu fuse or battery cable. Any Ideas??
check the code while the car is running.
