I view those 'bars' really just as a fancy way of hanging your dry cleaned clothes. Those 'bars' do little for protection. But no really, while it cant be argued that those bars add some sort of chassis rigidty, sometimes the cost of them is near the cost of a rollbar or a prefabbed 4 point cage, which not only adds to the chassis rigidtym but give you protection the same time.

I agree with chrisw85, sometimes the cost of these show piece bars excede the cost of a bolt in autopwer and kirk racing rollbar.

And, believe it or not, a 4-point bolt-in rollbar will give you way more trunk space than that POS.

Kirk or Autopower would be your best bet. I'm more a fan of Kirk, but Autopower would do the job too.

Do you actually track your car? Kirk and Autopower are both good, some people prefer one over the other. Search around and you can see why one is chosen over the other.

Also, make sure to pad the rollbar.

Good point, Ali. If you're not taking the car to the track, skip all of this.
