Default E-brake is messed up. Can't seem to find what would cause it.

My ebrake is broken. Before that happened it worked perfectly, now its like its all loose where i can just pull it up without any clicking sound but as i pull it down works like normal but when i get to the bottum it doesn't go all the way down. It sits right before the brake light goes on. When i drive around and i hit a little bump it will bounce up and say brake. Would like to fix this soon. Do you know whats wrong with it? Comments will be appreciated!

I took a look at it today and this is what happened to it.

the one that i cricle with the red, has the longer line that goes back to the wheels. I can't seem to get it straight. The one in the green is fine but the one in the red where the wire is, is like all messed up and its extra longer now. I try pushing it back in but it won't go back in so what should i do next? I can't figure what to do?

naw i don't drift with this but i do take hard turns. I take hard turns but i don't use my e-brake. I don't try to drift with a FWD car either i know consenquences about that. I know someone that tried that before and ran his car into a ditch.

check the other end of the cable, where it attaches to the brakes. Mine was all corroded and would not go back fully.

you may have un-even wear pads. thats why one cable line is longer than others. check the pads. and replace them if you have to (pair).

Hmm ionno if thats the answer for what i was looking for because i switched out the right side one and its tight but the left one is the original pads and the brake line is tight.
