Default Need help with a '89 civic swap

my '89 civic has a jdm b16a swap but the transmission is from an integra, not sure what year, my problem is i can't find what axles fit on my car, the current axles are from an '89 civic and it clicks when i turn the wheel to the right, does anyone know what axles would fit?

Since you don't know much im gonna take a guess and consider you have the old integra cable type transmission that comes with the older b16's in 88-91 hatch from japan. Well anyways, if you do, then the axles you need are 90/91 acura integra 5 speed NON abs is what you tell em at the auto parts store. If you have a hydro transmission with a conversion kit on your car, or somebody can tell for you just by looking at it with the hood open, then you need 94-2001 acura integra axles.

Btw, a good thing to check on to do is make SURE, the metal rings on the backside of the hub/spindle assembly is popped off so they don't bind the new axles, otherwise you will be havin problems again. You can take a flat head screw driver and pop them off very easily in a matter of a second, so basically even a dumb *** could do this.

although that method does work it is not advisable. those rings serve a purpose to seal off the bearings from the elements.
check the archive on how to make the hybrid axles without removing protective stuff from your hubs, or use the specially made swap axles from hasport or other performance manufacturer specialising in hybrid swaps

Well that is good thought, but it's required if you have warranty on basic integra axles from a auto parts store, including they work just as fine as the hybrid's i guess would, if you like hybrid crap. Anyways, if you gonna do what i said, which most people do, just change your hub bearings before you put the axles in, or if you know a friend that could help you, or a shop with a friend then do it like that so your cut a deal, there not that expensive anyways really, it is worth your life you know.
