did u preload the tranny? I dumped the clutch on 8psi (5800rpm 2-step) and bent both my axles and blew apart my stock differential (ls tranny). I always preload the tranny now lol...

supercharger +slicks= broken axles. I've had it happen to me, but at least we breakdown at the line not like domestics that breakdown @ the 1/8th.

I think its a type-r thing my buddy here breaks axles running 13's i run 10's on stock axles. If you are determined to bring your car out on slicks with stock axels why not bring a spare set with you ?

It has a lot to do with how you launch the car I find. Even if you arn't making HUGE power you can snap axles pretty easy if you just hammer on it with good slicks.

We use to buy them before we went to the track and returned them the next day if we didn't use them.

Better hope you don't break the axle off in the diff like I did the last time Brent and I went to the track.

I've got hundreds of runs on my stock axles. Atleast 60 this year with the blower. Get traction bars and launch at an rpm where they hook before the end of 1st gear, perferably within a second or so. Spinning the **** out of them won't make your ET lower... 5800 definately seems too high for a blower. With your instant torque I doubt you need more than 4000. On 22's my best times were launching off idle. With the 24's around 3000 rpm. I may be making a little more power, but not too much more and our race weights should be very similar.

Never had the chance to use slicks but managed to run a 13.4 @ 109. 25 or 30 hard passes on the 1320 & only had the clutch to start slipping in 3rd gear. Never pleloaded the tranny & luckily never broke an axle. Get some new axles & keep us posted.
