Recently my front suspension has been squeaking a lot. It's not like it's only when I go over bumps, but when I hit the breaks, when I accelerate from a stop, when I sit down in the car, when I get out of the car, and when I push down on it from the outside, it does it really bad. I wanted to get some ideas before I took it to Honda and paid a diagnostic fee to see if there is a problem.

Anybody else have any of these problems with their Accords? Or any other Honda? Anybody know what the problem might be? Or is it just because it's cold outside?

I want to find out and get it fixed because it's really ******* annoying and very embarrassing when you're driving a pretty decent looking Honda Accord and you pull up in a gas station with a lot of people around and your ******* suspension squeaks to no end.

Oh yeah, 1997 Accord LX with 2.7L V6, almost 111,000 on the clock.

have u chedked all of ur bushings? thats teh problem with my accord it only does it when i go over speed bumps. just jack up the car and see which ones are cracked or dry

I haven't checked any of the bushings on the actual suspension but I do know my sway bar endlinks are cracked pretty bad. Been meaning to replace those but just haven't found the time yet. I'll check the other ones and see what I can find. I might just end up taking it to Honda on Tuesday and see what they say also.

 

i plan to do teh same thing eventually. ima get all the bushings replaced though, all OE dont what the poyurathane ones because they get real noisy when they dry up

Alright, yeah I'm going to probably do my sway bar bushings and endlinks myself and I'm also getting all OEM bushings from Honda.

I'm going to call them on Monday and set up an appointment.
