D15 stock motor swap into 1990 honda accord, is it possible?
I want to take my stock D15 motor out of my 1991 civic hatch and swap it into my 1990 accord coupe just to get it on the road and running. Would this be possible and what parts would I need to make it habppen? Please help......
Search alittle more get more motor knowledge(not to be an ***)(just do alittle homework) why put a 1.6 liter in a car that comes stock with 2.2 liters, follow the bandwagon and get an h22....more performance parts avalilble .....
I think he's wanting a cheap, quick way to get the car back on the road..... i imagine it'd be much easier and probably cheaper to buy a used f22ax to put in rather than a d15. The d15 in a hatch is underpowered, muchless in an accord. Just save for a bit, and pick up a used f22 somewhere. I'm sure you could find one for prolly 300 bucks or so

i somewhat understand. but ive been told this forever. but i guess my point is has anyone actually done it??
its not like H22's are complete torque monsters. i mean they barely make more torque than F22's.

im just playing devil's advocate, because everyone says its pointless and would be a waste. i just wanted to put some facts together and find out why.
by the way CP mike. just looked at your car, that thing is amazing. ever think about magazine status, motor set-up defentily has what it takes. especially since you have a wire tuck. rarely will you see a car without a wire tuck in Honda tuning.

They make different engines for different cars, heavier cars, stronge motors, D series are useless in accords, there huge, F22s can barley move an accord...
Out of the factory in the 90s' F22 had like 130 Hp, A F22 From 90-95 probably has about.. 85whp now, because of wear and what not...

Yah, but comparing the torque of a D15 to a H22 is just too much of a disparity. You need to get that big car rolling and without a decent amount of torque the car is going to be very slow.

you need spec of compression and weight before we can judge anything, the evo next door is only a 2.0 and it has no problem beating my **** in any gear.

i put down 175 hp and 150 lbs of torque with 2 h22's with intake and an exhaust.
thats more than any stock f22 makes to the crank for torque OR horsepower.

Same sh-t, look at the torque curve of the B series motor, unless it's highly modified it's still falling under the SWAPPED AND STILL SLOW area.
Just because b18c5 works awesome in a little civic, the success doesn't always transfer to other car.
before you mention A or f22c, NO
