don't speed and don't run red lights?
but if you already been caught then get a lawyer, if oj could pull one off, you could too. remember, in America, you are innocent until prove broke.

In little rock we have this little loophole that gets used a lot.. ::Scenario:: You are maxing out the allowable points on your license and getting close to having it suspended, just then you get a ticket for a 80 in a 60. You go to court, suck a few imaginary weiners with your suit and tie, and receive the stiff yet silky smooth option of paying the fine and getting however many points on your license, or picking beans at a prison farm in the delta as "community service" with the infringement firgiven at the end of the probationary period. Go with option one. It's hot in arkansas.. and work sucks. So you pay the fine of 250, but you pay 255 on it. The city treasurer will send you a check for 5 dollars in the mail once they realize you're the boyfriend of the sister in "the other sister", and the important part is that you do not cash it. Hold onto that baby because until the city is even-stephen they won't apply the point to your license. That's probably more than you needed, but I figured if there was a group that could use some speeding ticket loopholes it would be the people in this forum. Well, maybe not the accord forum
but HT as a whole.

i actually just talked to a judge about this
(he was speaking at one of my lectures, i didn't actually go to court
)
he told us that if they have reasonable proof that you committed the violation (ie. got you with the radar gun) you're going to lose in court and get the full penalty.
but if you go to court they will usually offer you a deal before your trial, and this is usually a lower fine and possibly keeping it off your record. he suggested taking this offer, as it's probably the best you're going to get.
btw, this is in MN and traffic laws (and courts) vary from state to state.
