There is a place here in downtown Manhattan that deal with end high performance cars. I mean like hard, hard core cars for snobby rich New Yorkers.

Walking past it once, amogst the many Ferraris, Lotues (Lotuii?) etc I've seen a british Escort Cosworth... Turbo AWD, this one looked like a semi-rally car.

 

go to England and check out the Cossie´s.. those are REAL Escort Turbo´s

As far as Probe GT Turbo, my friend in High School had one... w/ minor BS stuff (no boost increase per se) this heavy pig was running mid 14s on str tires and spankin my GS-R at the time.

I've seen a few turbo MX-6 running low 13s. Talk about a sleeper.
Too bad these things hangle like sheit.

Yeah, there was a mustang SVO (like '86?), 2.3L 4 cyl turbo... I seen these things run respectable numbers... same engine as the XR4.

And there was another fwd turbo Escort w/ an ugly lookin front end.

Yeah, the Turbo 4 SVO Mustang GT was a rare car. I think it was only available in 84 and 85. It was pretty unpopular dispite it being considerably faster than the 5.0 V8 Mustang GT that was sold along side it those years.

There was actually a black 1984 Turbo Mustang SVO at the last autoX I was at on Sunday...

there was one of these local to me. haven't seen another one. i'd really like to do something with one if i can locate another. Guy that owned it worked for a Toyota dealership. It had a supra stock turbo in it. ran 12's all day long with no other internal modificatons. i'm coming up short finding any photos on the net
