Default Taillight Talk

I really hate to bring this up. Up front I want to say that for myself, only my opinion matters, if I think it's cool to put hot pink accents on my car along with Bubble Gum stickers (like in the 80s) then I would do it no matter what others would say.

With that disclaimer I just want to get all of your impresions on taillights... try using the same format:

stock tails: very nice, no need to get rid of 'em (on a honda)
GTS smoked covers: pretty cheap looking
full clear: the first day it was different, now they just look cheap
half/half (red/white or red/smoked): look classy
clear altezzas: look ok on white/silver car, must be the newer altezzas, not the old ones
carbon altezzas: I really like the look of these on darker cars

Did I miss any?

stock tails: Just fine...kinda original these days.
GTS smoked covers: The 1980's called, they want their taillights back.
full clear: I'm very against them because they are dangerous. On sunny days, you cant tell whether the lights are on or the drive is on brakes.
half/half (red/white or red/smoked): Madd tizzite y0!
clear altezzas: Only on an Altezza.
carbon altezzas: Thats like putting strawberry jam on a turd (doesnt help much).

You also missed the colored altezzas!! Thats like putting yellow or green strawberry jam on a turd.

stock tails: Look better than most except the 1/2's but hey alot of hondas come with 1/2's anyways.
GTS smoked covers: Lets leave this for the Camaro's
full clear: Always looked like crap to me
half/half (red/white or red/smoked): nice looking as long as they still look like stock for the most part
clear altezzas: never looked good on anything other than 94-95 accords but are way to played out now
carbon altezzas: look alright but they are still altezzas
painted tail lights (i.e. blue, green, etc.): Look better than full clears but still look crappy

well it is the truth. If you see them atleast 9 out of 10 times it is on a Camaro. I cant remember the last time I saw them on a car that wasnt a camaro.

GTS smoked covers: I like em
full clear: wtf were they thinking?
half/half (red/white or red/smoked): very nice, esp the 94-95 accord ones
clear altezzas: no, i don't even like them on the IS300 anymore
carbon altezzas: yes, these are much better...look real good on dark cars
painted tail lights (i.e. blue, green, etc.):depends how well it matches the car, varies from application

The S-type lights, or Half n Halfs as some of you call them, look awesome on a 94/95 car. They complinment the car very well, and should have been the OEM lights so we don't need to spend a c-note on them.

full clear: Dangerous and ugly as heck
half/half (red/white or red/smoked): Nice especially the one's from the Si's
altezzas: Very NICE especially on those silvers oooooooohhh they are so sweeeeet...yup you're right im a rice boy
carbon altezzas: SWEEEET Im planing to get some for my 97 silver accord, with a carbon fiber hood and carbon fiber honda emblends (H)
painted tail lights (i.e. blue, green, etc.): Depends on the artist

lmao....

i don't have too much of a problem with tezzas....but then again i come from a town where not too many people have the IS300's or stupid lookin tezzas....and the whole smoked lenses on camaros....let's not forget about the trucks too...i've seen many new pick ups with vent shades and smoked lenses up front and in back...this has to be the cheapest mod i've ever seen...for the entire thing it probably costs around $20

I use to frequent a messageboard where lots of people would dog ricers all the time, anyway, someone posted a link to some pictures of the new Lexus IS300 (when it was first coming out), one guy posted and said "It looks pretty good, except for those stupid Altezza style tail lights." We all had to tell him that the car had altezzas BECAUSE IT IS THE ALTEZZA! haha
