Hello HTer~~

Does anyone know what is wrong with the paint on this rim~ I know that the previous owner painted it himself~ Is it because he did not probably sand it down that is why there is wrinkle~ And finally do you think if I spend time sanding it down I can paint it so it's all smooth and nice?

looks like he painted with a brush . Just sand it down and redo it.

 

definitely bad sanding, or it was painted to heavily or in bad temperature, just strip that **** off and redo it the right way

 

Use aircraft stripper to remove all the old paint, sand them smooth, primer them then re-paint!

looks like it was stripped with 36 grit sandpaper

thats what i was thinking

 

brush painted 100%

 

sand it down and start over.

 

clean/prep the wheels better it look like there were contaminanents on the wheel when it was painted which causes the pop you are now seeing.

 

its brushed on no doubt
