Default performance question?

I want to take the head off my B16. Get it milled to the last point, ported, 3 angle valve job and Type R intake cam. Would CTR or ITR cam be better? If i was to do all that would i get a big hp gain to be worth doing all that? ? or ?

depends on how much you mill it, and how good the port job is, and how good the valve job is.....doing what you said can give you anywhere from 3-30 hp depending on how its done.....but be careful how much you mill the head, you don't want to over do it and start slappin valves off pistons or snapping stock rods, although b16 rods aren't too bad

the cams are pretty much the same and after 2000 i believe they are identical...
how much are you planning to mill...im sure with that cam and stock pistons you can get away with .03 easy and maybe even more....just make sure to keep your old headgasket for when you clay the motor...claying is a must to make sure your not gonna have catastrophic failure at startup or even worse when you Xover to vtec...
you will definitely see nice gains by doing so...dont expect the moon but it will be a big improvment over stock....since your milling so much material off your gonna want adjustable cam gears to dial in the right timing...

do you plan on reving this motor higher than stock redline? if so its a MUST to upgrade your valvetrain...with a mild setup like that your probably good to go with stiffer valve springs and an upgraded LMA...

let me know if i can help any more...later
