I have a 99 accord ex v6, and I keep blowing fuse 10, and when it blows I have no taillights or instrument cluster lights. This thing will blow a 30amp fuse just as easily as it will the factory OEM 15amp fuse. The taillights and instrument cluster lights work when I replace the fuse. But what gets me is why is it when I turn the headlights off, that the vanity mirror lights and the glove box light doesn't work anymore? They only work when I have the headlights on. This is not an LX or DX. I am starting to think that it has something to do with the Driver's Multiplex Control Unit. Also, even after I replace the fuse, the console lights at the shifter do not illuminate.

Anyone ever have this trouble? I'm in a bit of a "bind" here, and I feel lucky that I haven't been pulled over by a cop for not having taillights.

 

vanity mirror light and glove box light should only work when headlights are on.
You need to discover when the fuse is getting blown, like when you hit the brakes? or when you go over a bump? I'd first start checking the rear tail lights for bad wires or shorting of the bulb wiring.
It would be nice to know the "rest of the story"; like the problem started after the car was rear ended by a semi truck, or after the monkey installed the aftermarket stereo.
