prelude alternator question.. read me
i have a h22 swap in my eg.. my question..
i was driving my car then i through it in netural and the car died.. i wasn't running on an alternator belt becuase my belt was loose and got rip bad.. i had a buddy use jumper cables to charge my battery but it won't crank over where it will run.. it will crank but wont' run.. i change distributor on check for spark, i have fuel both fuel pump and injector, i have compression on all 4 cyclinder, and my timing is still correct.. could it be that since i don't have an alternator belt it could reduce the amount of spark i receive to the distributor?? any suggestion would be great.. and also i change my ecu, still not working and triple check all my wiring making sure nothing got unplug..

You have an alternator but no belt? So perhaps I should have been more specific...You need to have a working alternator for your car to run...sigh

Kinda hard to keep the battery charged if nothing is keeping the alternator spinning. Never heard of anyone running no alternator belt.
Is it that hard and expensive to replace a belt you need?

nope it isnt' hard to replace just never had the chance to get to it.. well n e waise i bought a new alt belt and still no luck.. car crank but won't run.. i thinking it might be eletrical?? i readjusted my timing on my cam gear to 0 degree...

We need to know what you have, spark, fuel press, fuel injection, timing, compression then we can continue, it should run from a jump start. Are you sure you didnt accidently cross the jumper cables, or your friend, it happens, not embarassing, check all fuses under the hood too.

i have spark, fuel and i am getting fuel in each injector, my timing is set on 0 degree on my cam gear, i have compression on all 4 cyclinder... i check the voltage on my battery, and came out fine.. triple check my wiring making sure no wiring is touching each other and made sure all ground is grounded properly.. all fuses is a OK... and swap the ecu 4 times.. ??

excuse me but i am very confused...correct me if im wrong: 1) your alternator belt broke and you drove the car for some time with no belt...
2) the battery now will not hold a charge

my alternator belt snap on me.. came back home .. turn the car off and left it there for a day... the i was suppose to race this mustang for some cash, so i prep my car and drove it maybe 1/8 of a mile and the car died.. every since then it wouldn't work.. and yes i drove it without an alternator belt...
