main pulley came lose...help
Story:
I was driving in the city, and I started to hear a strong vibrating sound. I tried to drive slowly and tried to make it back home. But I heard something come off and I stopped the car. I popped the hood and saw that the belts for the ac, alternator, etc. came off. Then I realized that the main pulley came loose.
Questons:
1) Do you guys think that my father and I with some basic tools can fix this?
2)Do I need extra parts to fix this?
3)Did the automatic tensioner came off?
4)Do I need a manual tensioner?
5) Can I drive the car with the belts off?
Any other thoughts would help. Thanks!

1) If there's no damage to the pulley or crank, you can fix it.
2) Depends on what was damaged
3) The tensioner is on the timing belt (oil pump, water pump & cam gears), not the accesory belts or crank pulley
4) Yes
5) No
You need to get in there and see what the extent of th damage was...

Thanks. I dont think that there is any damage but I cant get the main pulley to get tight enough. It spins after I tighten to a certain strength. Does anyone know if I can get a tool from autozone that will keep the pulley from moving when I am tightening the nut? thanks
Dude, there's a Woodruff key that holds the pulley in place. You obviously lost it somewhere along the line.... Look at the crank and the pulley and you'll see what I'm talking about. Probably need to get a new key from Honda.
You ideally need the special pulley holding tool in order to tighten the bolt up properly to 220Nm. Here is what the tool looks like, but you can make your own up with a 50mm nut welded on a piece of plate with a hole through it. Alternatively, you could use a torque gun
