How did you guys have ya rack setup? I dont whether to loop the feed and return lines on the rack to leave em hanging. I have heard both. Please any opinions or links are greatly appreciated

If you want to go the distance & don't feel like looping the lines...check out the "how to" on the page below.

I read that the Realtime guys plumbed a supply and return line into a small vented reservoir. This opened up the loop to relieve pressure and the ps fluid still provided lubrication. Sounds easy.

Does this really make a noticeable difference? Just curious.

Noticeable? Sure, it'll be a bitch to turn the wheel when you aren't moving!

Performance wise, not /really/ but every little bit counts.

I didn't realize there were so many steps to removing the power steering! Everyone always says you unscrew something, take the belt off, take the pump out, voila. What's all this stuff about? Is this a more permanent way to do it?

What are the disadvantages of the shorter way??

Yes, you can remove the pump, install a manual rack, etc...

You mean removing the belt? Only one that I can think of...weight.

Correct. I copied the way Realtime did theres. I double the feed lines back together and "T" ed into the metal feed line in the center of the rack (looks like a brake line) and ran it up to a Tilton brake resivour that is used as a breather/pressure relief. My car steers almost as easy as when it had power steering.
