Heres a few photo's over the past few weeks showing what speedworks has done to his pro drag front end to make it FIT right.(running 28x9x15's)
Dturbocivic had posted some pics of his pro drag/rpm version front end, looks like it fits about the same as speedworks front end did when bought new.
notice how the front lays on the a pillars/winsheild and flares out at the sides?
here's dturbocivic's front:

here starts the transformation into a GOOD FITTING front end
--suspension is jacked up to ride hieght, just as if it was setting on the ground-

end results, fitting doors better and made a lip on top around the winshield

FINISHED PRODUCT 12/16/06

this one is now pretty heavy after extra glass, bondo, glazing putty
and everything else...its dang hard to flex out to clear the wheels when going on/off...so....
a reputable local boat manufacturer is going to possibly make a mold to pop out a flexible, thinner version of the finished product above...
the high raised wheel wells have been cut down some and you can see all the reshaping and cutting involved.

ill tell you like i told him....
every pro-drag/ RPM front end is the same. its nothing new. they never fit right from rpm, when you make a copy of something that doesnt fit, your copy sure as hell aint gonna fit either...
on the orange hotrod coupe, it was slightly modified to get it to look a bit better, and it wasnt modified nearly as much as Kevin's front end.
for what its worth, i didnt do any work, besides trim it up a bit to make it fit right.. (my front end is not a Pro-drag front end) mine is a carbon/glass front end that i got from Kens custom, it only weighs 23lbs
got it for 550.00 too
let me see if i can find some old pictures....
here is the prodrag front end when we first recieved it, as you can tell, it sticks up kinda high in the fender area. that was the least of our worries....

Here is the car after we actually mounted the front end
you can see by the lower part of the windshield, a dzues mounting tab, that helps hold the front end down, and we also have dzues fastners at the back side of the "fender" which can be seen in the other pictures i have posted, this helps hold the front end into the shape we desired..
as you can see, we didnt mod ours nearly as much as the posted one up above, and it fits great. we only modified it by the doors so it alighn's nicer..

these arent really "up close" on the doors but they fit real good. ill try to get some sometime ....

kevin, what the hell happeend? lol.. it looks like u guys threw the front end off a roof, then tried to peice it back together. But i must say, the **** looks unreal. i never seen the fitment of one of those come that perfect.
We could have made my car look like his but we like the fact that air can get through there. If you look at my car from the side the doors align like his . I'll tell you what the dam thing weights like 53 lbs. Definately a horrible piece for $900.
I think Kevin's peice looks really nice. Would be cool if a new mold was made! I have no idea, but since Bryan drives a GM now, maybe it would be cool for you guys to market it?
i lack about another week of tweeking the bodywork. when i get it blocked and primered i am going to get the local boat shop to make a mold. if it turns out the way i want i will reproduce them. the suspension in the picture is sitting at ride height so tire clearance wont be an issue. i am thinking about making a splitter for the lower front that will bolt on and off.

/IN for the new frontend! Let us know if it goes into production!
