Default did compression test

1995 GSR w/ 90k miles

1st compression test without oil being added to the cylinders.

cyl 1- 175
cyl 2- 160
cyl 3- 160
cyl 4- 165

2nd compression test with a cap of oil added to the cylinders.

cyl 1- 190
cyl 2- 185
cyl 3- 195
cyl 4- 190

any good?

question: after the oil being added to the cylinder and starting the car up is it supose to smoke out the exhaust and smell like oil is burning?

Ha, of course it's going to smoke, it's burning all the oil you just poured into the cylinders. From your results it looks like your rings have some wear, does the car smoke at all? (excluding when you oil it yourself)

If your rings are going it's going to be blue smoke which is oil. Grey? that might be blue. White is coolant but it smells real sweet so if you're burning coolant you would definitely know. Numbers sound low for the miles. Sounds like that motor has been abused a bit.

its not blue. i have 20/20 vision...its grey i always let my friends drive my car and when they hit vtec once in a while it comes out. im assuming grey is from the white/black smoke mixing together... abused? yeap through the moutain(s) every other day in vtec for about 10 minutes straight.

That could be excess fuel as well. Has the car been tuned any at all?

Fuel is black, but it might look grey... Is there a lot of carbon on your muffler tip? that's fuel.

compression is fine, it is within 25psi of each cylinder. #3 is always the worst.
