Default apexi power intake ?'s

I have a password:jdm power chamber on my car, but it doesnt fit too well and i want to just go back to something stocklike w/o paying too much.

Will putting this filter on w/ stock tube have a great decrease in power compared to my power chamber?

Also, I have heard of some people taking off the resonator(sp?) on their stock intake tube, what is this all about and will it increase power at all?

taking off the resonator just gives it a deeper, nicer intake sound.

out of curiousity, in your signature, you stated boosted LS in the works, if you're going to be boosting, why even worry about the intake? just throw on the stock kit until u get the turbo. trust me, there is other areas to be concerned about with making power other then the intake system.

apexi power filter is one of the best filter out there. (lab result)

and it will not fit on stock air box. however, it will fit on comptech icebox.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by no2unenolife &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">jus get a k&n, it'll probably be fine w/out the stock box</TD></TR></TABLE>

in this experiment it shows the apexi out-performing the k&n

http://mkiv.com/techarticles/filters_test/2/

so i might just go ahead and pick up an apexi one or somethin

seen that before, but is it worth the money for the apex. and the kn comes in second.
plus the given fact that these tests were run on a supra.
dunno what your setup is or your plans are, but imo
prolly wouldn't matter so much on a stock block w/ minor bolt ons. but g/l

why did u buy the powerchamber anyway. it says on password that u need an itr or skunk2 intake manifold or similar for it to fit. i think thats ur problem.

ls IM is the same style as the itr intake manifold, this intake is made to fit ls's as well as itrs and such, but the one i got just doesnt fit good

by saying that you need an itr style manifold, its pretty much tellin you that you cant use the intake on a gsr IM or somethim similar to taht
