Default Hesitation between 1500-2800 rpm

My new cd5 has the classic signs of a clogged egr..Hesitation between 1500-2800 rpm... Well, I cleaned that well today(it really wasnt that bad), also changed plugs, cap and rotor. Anything else that might be causing this hesitation? Wires maybe? they look fine.. It has 138,000 miles and its a 5 speed...thanks.

now that you mention it, i get the same thing in second gear of my automatic. I just changed the wires, rotor, cap, and plugs (iridium, which may have caused a drop in mileage???)

Try the lucas lube stuff for the fuel system.

It's a little different from most fuel cleaning products and people that know cars a little better seem to like it. You may not need it but listen to YeuEmMaiMai.

Like seafoam? I was thinking about doing the seafoam in the intake and the gas tank.

just twist them off and kinda push also on the ends. If its stuck bad its ok to insert something that isn't sharp and kinda pry it off... they are pretty flexible.

Change the o-rings on the end of the injectors before putting them back in the fuel rail. I got all 4 from the dealer for like 12 bucks.

I cleaned my ports and still have the same issues. Also seafoamed my engine, ran lucas lube through the gas tank, and cleaned the manifold.. Im thinking of blocking off the egr with a plate to see if that solves my problems so I can narrow it down to the egr system.

i think the problem with my car is that the egr is stuck open half ways. i disconected the lift solenoid but i still have the hesitation i might just buy a new egr valve

So would disconecting the lift solenoid give the same results as the port blocking plate?

im not sure what u mean. technically the egr valve should not open at all if the lift solenoid is disconected because it is electricly (spelling?) controlled. So if u disconect the lift soleoid and ur problem goes away then i would suppose u have a bad egr valve
