Default anyone had problems with crvtec?

some guy told me that this engine is really easy to **** up when u miss a gear cause of its power. Is this true? and what are some common problems with a crvtec?

people rev up to 8200 or 8500 and the rod ratio on a LS or CRV block is not good for reving this high. it will cause problems if you contenuosly rev that high so basicly if you leave the bottom end stock for a long time and drive alot your gona have trouble

if i was to get one of these engines? what would be a good way to modify the bottom end out of the crvtec? what mods would be good?

My Con:

It's too damn fast... w/ Honda parts!!!

Balance the bottomend... that should help w/ your worries. Get new bearings while you're at it & throw on a block girdle.

I am getting arias pistons and probe ultra lightweight rods bored to 84.5mm balanced and everything with brand new bearings. I believe my motor should last pretty long even if I do mess up sometimes.

so what should you run the rev limit to is 8 gran good but not past 8200 but with a blueprinted andbalanced bottom end.

it depends on the setup w/ a set of a/m lightweight pistons, rods, balanced w/ a crank gridle you should be safe up to 10,000.
