Default B18b: JDM or USDM

so i need a new block and head for my 93 civic, already have the tranny and all.
the goin rate it seems for a b18b is around 700-800 plus 300-400 for the installation. (canadian $)

i've checked with a few of the JDM shops around town as well as some garages that have USDM engines. the prices are pretty much the same.

so should i go with a ~60k km JDM engine
or a 2000, ~50k km USDM engine

some ppl have told me that JDM is better, others have said that they cause problems and make noises.
let me know what you guys think

thanks for the help
