ok i jus installed my Evo2 its a good exhuast sounds good and everything but i was hoping it would b a bit louder...1 of my friends said i should bring it to a shop n have them cut the muffler off on the mid pipe n jus put a straight pipe throught their....now my questions r would this completely ruin the exhaust note, also how much louder would it b than it is rite now, n last would it give me a couple my HP from this?

replacing the resonator with a straight pipe will make it louder but will also effect the sound of the exhaust. what you can do is cut off the resonator and have them weld flanges on it and then have a straight pipe of equal length flanged up also. so you can switch back and forth. but thats just more touble and $$ than its worth. if you like the sound just leave it alonoe, yoou'll get sick of your loud exhaust anyway probably.

 

i was thinkin about it today i thought what if i get a Magnaflow hi flow cat would that help w/ the sound and net me a couple hp at the same time...also any other brands that make hi flow cats?

 

u got header yet? if u dont have a header yet then dont mess with it, when u get a race header it will be louder, or u can just get a shorty header and punch out the cat that will also work, it will make it loud and still make it sound good. but if u already have header then u could just put a highflow on i guess

 

i already have a DC shorty ....please no 1 start w/ the u should of gotten the RH bs
