Ok we are doing a stock rebuild on a GSR and mods we already have and are adding are E H I, and now we are looking at a set of cams, but my experience with these is that all stage 2 cams even though they say no ECU mods required really do require them. So i was wondering if there is are any cams that will work well.

 

CTRs if I/H/E is all you're doing

 

Simply go with ITR/CTR intake cam only, simple bolt on! Keep stock fueling and revlimit, no tuning on most setups that i seen yeild 5-9whp.

 

ANY cam change will benefit from ECU tuning...

they say it wont REQUIRE tuning, cuz they dont. the car will most likely run if you just swap the cams and use a stock ECU. they also want to sell you some cams, they wont make any money unless they do

but you DEFIANTLY will see improvements from having the motor professionally tuned. they can set your air fuels to a good level, do timing adjustments, and put VTEC in its right place...

 

My car started peeling out in vtec with just the addition of ctr cams. Of course i was running 13" tires, but it never did it before the cams. I didnt retune or anything, they just made power. In my opinion, you will see a big improvement even without tuning.
