Default CRVTEC gods help!

I have a B20B longblock and an 96 ITR Head with GSR Cams. Any precautions I should take? Will I need to get the pistons modified? How much fun will I have with this motor?

If you never done a swap before prepare for headaches and oil leaks. You'll have to tune it to reach full potential and you'll need cam gears and a vafc. I also think that anything bigger than gsr cams will start getting really close to hitting the pistons. If done right it will be fun for awhile until the bearings spin. b20/ls-vtecs are a high maitance engine combo.

Hopefully you have the vtec conversion kit that would definetly be step one. If you keep the b20 block stock make sure you dont rev to high or you will have some problems. The b20 cylinder walls are very thin and have a problem with cracking if you rev it out high. Its a good idea to throw in some sort of crankcase breather to reduce the pressure in the block. I have had 2 b20's and I never once had an oil leak. If you want to do a serious build however you can make a lot of power you just cant be cheap on anything. good luck
