Default Intake manifolds which preforms the best.

I am looking to doing my d15b7 vtec build. I am really interested in the intake manifold. I guess the top three that I know of is the... Skunk2 / Edelbrock / D16Y8 Stock Manifold. Which do you guys think is the best. Which also have the best results..

.

SKUNK 2

Edelbrock 50 State legal

Stock Y8

Everyone says skunk2 is just a copy of the Y8, and that edlebrock is actually better flowing.

I would stay budget and pick up a Z6 intake.
But that is just me.

Ive had both on my car, and I would def go with the Edelbrock. The Skunk2 requires you to up your fuel pressure, which means later down the road, fuel pump and regulator. The Skunk2 only gives you top end power...like on a highway...but you sacrifice low end punch. The Edelbock however gives you a very solid powerband all the way up to redline.. The Edelbrock is a very nice piece and ALL the sensors are used. Thats the one thing I hated about the Skunk2 was that the IACV is not used and left hanging in the bay, plus you have to "T" off a **** load of vacuum lines and some coolant lines... do what you want tho

well also i was reading up on ITB's (Indvidual Throttle Bodies). As in using the CBR 954 TB's, and mocking up a working manifold. I've even heard of a increase from a stock d1y8, with just the ITB's from the CBR 954. Bolted on and jumping from 120+ stock to 140...

save your $$ and buy a stock Z6 OR Y8 manifold. who cares about brand loyalty? your gonna need the extra cash to get that civic on the road.
