i have heard it before. but today it got extremly bad. its not an axle sound its like a knock or a thump. its only when i brake , shift or let off the gas. it sounds like its only Coming from the Front right. any help appreciated

id like to know aswel. i just had a full swap done. and i here a clunking or thumping sound from the fron of my car as i drive. i even feel. mostly when im acelerating, turning, free driving (clutch fully pressed).

would like some suggestions for a remedy.

if you say its not an axle sound and its like a knocking or thumping sound, then you should check out your motor mounts. it might also cause harder shifting and knocking sounds when revving the engine or even turning. good luck

 

so i take it al apart today and find a bad upper balllll joint and think ahh got it... replaced it and it stil did it... every motor mount was loose.... problem sovled

 

hmm yeah, seems pretty consistent that clunkiness during acceleration and braking are due to motor mounts or a broken subframe.
