Default Just swapped a 98 bumper on my 95 GSR.. Now I've got a gap :(:(

I knwo its suppose to be a bolt on thing and go, but it doesnt fit near as good as the original one.. And it's an OEM bumper. I"ve got like anywhere from 1/8 to 1/4 gap the whole way around.. And the bumper doesnt wanna stay in place.. It pops out of the lil grooves it has underneath the tail lights

And I dont really see any adjustment for any of it either.. So, what do I do? How do I get rid of the gap?

I'll get pics tomorrow so you guys can see what I mean.

Anybody else run into this problem?

yeah man, me too. it happens. most everyone that does the 98-01 conversion has some gaps. more so with the rear bumper.

Well that freakin blows! I'll have pics in a couple hours when I go on break.. BUt man, thats BS. Even though the rear bumper looks better, it makes my car look like a BIGGER pile of crap than it already is!

either your fenders aren't lined up right or your're not mounting the bumper correctly.

i've switched from 99 to 97 and back and i've never had a problem with gaps.

the only thing that the two bumpers differ in is the splash guard underneath.

I've kept the pictures big intentionally.. and no comments on my car being dirty, please.. This weekend she'll get washed.

Any thoughts on what I can do?

Even though you can interchange the bumpers, the 98+ bumpers have been known to never fit perfectly on the 94-97 tegs.

You should see the 98 front end I'm putting on: Milano Red Paint is coming next year.

Why the freakin hell does nobody say this? I've done much searching and have NEVER seen anything remotely resembling a fitment problem..

So, not a whole lot that I can do to fix it?
