Default Rear strut bar trouble: HELP NEEDED!

So, I bought a generic front strut bar off ebay, it said "97-00 prelude front strut bar" but, the mounting plate is a circle w/ only 2 holes. So I'm thinking that it's a rear strut bar, so I tried to test fit it and it was extremely hard to get it to line up, I think I'm going to need to drill a new hole in the plate.
Anyways I was wondering if people have had the same type of trouble before, if so how you fixed it. Any help/pictures would be great.

If it's circular bracket, then it's for the rear. My experience is that the bracket does not sit flush, so even re-drilling it will not make it an optimal fit. Return it or throw it away. Usually not worth the effort/cost to return it. Leave the seller a negative review. Besides, those things are worthless.

If it doesn't fit the rear, then maybe it really is for the front. Pics?

I bought a rear lower tie bar off ebay, and I have to shave it a bit just to make it fit. I'm just a little lazy right now to do it, but I'll eventually get around to it. I just bought it for looks anyways

I got one just like that it fits fine and works great for a ebay strut bar yeah it only comes with two holes...its all u need and u have to unscrew the bracket that holds the wires up and move them slightly to get the strut bar to line up correctly

i dont get why everyone says they do nothing. Yah im sure they dont if you only have one strut bar. Odds are all the people saying this dont have them. They make your chasis more rigid. there is a noticeable difference in my suspension with the strut bars. My car is lowered with neuspeed and kybs adjustable and after that i bought the front upper, rear upper, and lower tie bar and with all of those combined there was a noticeable difference in the handling. they have to be properly torqued as well to be working properly. I dont disagree one bar will do nothing but try buying all of them and im sure you will notice a difference to
