Default speed sensor= CEL?

ok guys it was sunday night and im just chillin at home watching the late football game when my sis asks me if i want to go to the gym, i say sure why not so i go upstairs and grab my car keys because after the gym i was going to my friends house to check out gears of war, which buy the way is siiick. so i hop in my car, start it up and let it warm up for like 90 seconds, i usually wait longer but my sis is already out the neighborhood and she has my guest pass. as i leave the neighborhood, i look down at the temp gauge and its saying, fuel cap open, and its flashing. so i pull over immediately turn the car off, pop the fuel door, take off the gas cap and and put it back on clicking it like 5 times. i get in my car and start it and it says the same thing, so i repeat the process.. i get in and start it again and now the fuel cap open is not there, but a CEL is.. so im like wtf, anyways i take it to honda yesterday afternoon and they couldnt work on the car til today. The service rep calls me and says " the reason the CEL was on was because the car's speed sensor tripped" he goes and tells me that the car was ran at a very high speed for a long period of time, high speed= over 100mph. he then tells me that my oil is black and that i need to keep a record of all my oil changes or honda can void an engine warranty over somthing like negligence of maintenance. the crazy part of all this is in the past 2 1/2 weeks ive babied that car like i never have before because of a bubble in my back left tire. i ordered new wheels and tires and it took til last thursday to get them in. since i got the new wheels and tires i havent gone past 92 on the freeway and that was just to pass a car that was in the fast lane. about the oil, i change my oil myself w/ mobil 1 and an oem filter every 2200-2500 miles and it was nowhere near that mileage.my questions are why do you think the speed sensor would throw up that cell when i havent done that kind of speeding since september and what makes oil change to black? oh btw i checked my oil last thursday also and it was still clearish brown. this is trippin me out guys.

2 things.

Call honda corporate and tell them you feel threatened by the dealership.
AND.... use paragraphs.

If the car isn't supposed to be driven at speeds that high it shouldnt go that fast.
End of story.

Honda tried to pull this on people in 99-00 with the EM1 saying it shouldn't be taken to redline when they were having syncro issues.... but in the brochure it tells that people power was 7800rpms.

hahaha, will do. i got my invoice from honda, any service techs in this forum?? heres what it says word for word

18196 DTC (P0219) ENGINE OVERSPEED CONDITION 723505 DEF#03214 0.6 HRS RESET ECM/PCM AND TEST DRIVE THE CAR NOTE THIS CODE INDICATE THAT THE CUSTOMER HAS BEEN DRIVEN OVER 100 MPH FOR LONG TIME.

Now i go ahead and ask them why would it matter if i was going over 100 mph? i say that the car is built to go that fast, it has 6 gears, you advertise 197hp 8000 rpm red line blah blah. He says that excessive wear and racing the engine around is not good for it and since i have aftermarket parts, referring to my cold air intake, and my lack of service records that honda can refuse to hold up the warranty. he then gave me an example of a s2k that came in and spun a bearing going over 100 and that they didnt cover the warranty.
I then tell the tech that when the CEL was thrown that i was going 35-45 mph. I ask him when the CEL should throw if i had been driving over 100 for a "long time". he says it should throw the cell immediately.
I then just ask for my keys and leave, knowing ill never go back to that honda to get my car serviced. Why would honda have a engine overspeed condition and why would it matter if i was going over 100 mph, the car has no governor and its obviously built to be able to reach and sustain that type of speed.

Sadly that code & the intake has been entered into the system for your VIN
and another dealer will view that if you bring it to them

Your BEST bet is to find someone that WORKS at honda on the boards and go to their dealer.
