Need Help Bad (Searched and Searched) Solid CEL and Bogging Issues
First off I have tried the usual....FPR, Fuel Filter, Distributor Cap, Rotor Button, Swapped ECU to a good one, New Wires, Plugs, Map Sensor...etc.
Here's the deal...car cranks runs fine idles like a champ.....while driving if I were to take a corner downshift and slowly accelerate at around 2500 RPMS the car feels as if it hits a brick wall and detonates, if I leave the trottle at the same position it will continue to do this and bust up and bog out. Now If I full throttle it at any point and even when initially taking the turn it will never occur and car will run like a champ.
Anyone have this same problem?
FYI Timing is set to stock and there are no mods, this is my daily driver and it seems to give me a lot more problems then my race cars.
Thanks In Advance

I had the same problem, and it turned out that a wire on my map sensor was disconnected..Got it soldered and there was no issue after that..But you already checked that..so i am no help
If the car has a EGR valve, it could be clogged. you might want to look into that if you have one. If you don't have one, nothing gained or lost. also what is the check engine code that is flashing on the ECU, get back to me with the nuber of blinks, I have book can tell you what the code means.
Good luck

You mean the red blinking light inside the ECU is always on. it shouldn't be. look at bulb inside ecu turn ignition to the on position. Light should flash once then go out with no trouble codes. If you have trouble codes stored they will flash after the one flash that signals ecu is functioning properly. there would be no one blink if the ecu was bad.

you people dont realize what a SOLID cel means????
NO BLINKY BLINKY, SOLID CEL, TURN KEY TO ON, CEL NEVER GOES OUT, NO POWER TO ECU, NO GROUND AT ECU, ETC.....

oh o.k I thought you meant CEL in the dash, did you check power and ground to the ecu, and check out the power, signal, ground of the TP sensor. If your not sure on how to I'll let you know.
Get back to us on that.
Get back to us on that.
Sorry been out of town...will be chaingin main relay and trying a 3rd ecu today....All grounds and 12v power continous throughout the wiring harness to the ecu.
I will check the TPS also.
Thanks for all of your input
