Default civic type X???? Anyone ever heard of this?

Looking at a 1997 civic, it is listed as a LX in the ad but a rear photo clearly shows Type X on the car just below the passenger side taillight. It appears to be a factory emblem?
I tried searching here but got no hits when I typed Civic Type X. Anyone know anything about this Type X Civic or is the emblem just a good after market job?

There were Civic Type Rx's from 1998-2000 .... but they sure as hell weren't USDM sedans.

On 96-00 Civics, the "LX" is one piece.

i realize that, that doesnt mean that the one piece cannot break, thus leaving the X portion.

Now if you would like to see what I was referring to check out this comlpeted ebay listing 290051372190. I did ask the owner and everyone here was correct, no tpye X, owner said it was aftermarket.

Um ...... what the expletive is your problem. I gave you a real, reasonable answer. If I wanted to be mean, I could be a sight more cruel than some of the people in this thread.

For reference:

So go soak your ******* head, and then play in traffic. I wasn't a dick, but I am now. I hope you die in a fire.
