Their quality is right up there with DC/Greddy headers, none of which produce more power than a JDM 4-1 header. Very good bang for the buck

I used several parts from Megan Racing, including their headers. Their stuff works well.

There have been peole who claim to have broken flanges and welds on their headers, but this is because they dont use the spring bolts where it connects to the cat. I used the spring bolts, I never had a problem with my header.

You get what you pay for, but I would agree Megan headers are decent for the cheap category of header.

Worst header: $40-$200 range Loose hp or gain very few.
DCStyle header sold on ebay, which is a cheap copy of the DC header.
Any new header under $100 sold on ebay.
Pacesetter header that actually lost power on a dyno compared to the stock exhaust manifold.
Megan header with 2.5 inch collector.

Slightly better header: $200-$350 range Gain a few more hp.
DC header 4-1 with 2.5 collector-- This header might belong in group above.
ITR 4-1 header with 2.5 collector
Edelbrock header with 2.5 collector mod--heard good reviews on this one

Slightly better header: $300-$500 range Gain a few more hp.
Any mass produced high end like
Greddy, Comtech(sp?), few more

Best headers: $600 and up (some way up) Gain a bunch.
Custom headers made to your application
RSR, RMF, SMSP, Rage, many more.

This is an oversimplified and incomplete comparison, and just how I have them arranged in my mind. At least you get an idea of where in the overall scheme of things where the Megan stacks up, it is the best of the worst, lol. I hope no one gets to worked up over my assessment, and if it needs correction, then ok.

Oh, a search on Megan header returned 111 results.

first of all i never heard of "Gretty" lol maybe u meant Greddy. ne way and the dc sport headers made more power then the jdm itr headers been proven on the greater header test and megans to be honest in the best bang for ur buck i bought those only to save up and get a rmf now

I hope you have had real experience with a megan header to be making comments like this. On this site i have heard nothing but good things about that header especially for the price.
