Skunk2 Intake Manifold install but IACV Q? (Idle Air Control Valve)
So I installed a skunk2 intake manifold on my d16y7 everything seemed to be fine untill I noticed a place for the IACV on the back of the Skunk2 intake manifold... my problem is that the IACV is already installed on the bottom of the throttle body.
Should I just cover up the holes in the back of the skunk2 intake manifold or are there any other options?
Will this affect the car?

Yeah I'll post one for you when I get home from work tonight. Thanks for all the help so far!

are you sure thats the iacv on the tb? is there a plug on it? i dont know about y8s but everyother motor ive owned has the fast idle valve under the tb and the iacv on the back of the intake. you really dont need either of them people block them off all the time.

I thought it was the fast idle valve as well but I looked at the picture of the IACV that skunk2 shows on the instructions and its the only thing close to it. It has two vacuums and one plug and its a rectangular shape...
Well I blocked it off anyways... so this shouldn't cause any problems?

So I drove the car today... and it would stay at a constant high idle but then every now and then it would idle low then high, low then high... etc up and down... not sure whats going on.

are you concerned about the iacv on the back of the manifold that kinda looks like a windshield wiper motor or the fitv that is attached to the bottom on the throttle body.
OK this goes on the back of the IM

but thats for a 92-95 civic... and the thing on the bottom of my throttle body has the same # of vacuums going to it as that one, and just one plug.
????
so you would think I could just cover up the holes in the back of the IM where that goes and be fine... if the IACV is on the bottom of my throttle body.
my motor is a D16y7...

you got a vacum leak how did you block it off?

Yo chill.
Ok I have a y7 with a y8 IM, so I can help. If your idle is surging, then yes, you have a vacuum leak.
If this manifold has two holes for the IACV, you may block it off. Post pics of your IM here, specifically around the TB so that we know that your throttle body-mounted IACV can flow air through correctly.
96-00 Civics don't have a FITV. The IACV is controlled by the computer to alter the airflow at all temperatures and revs.
From the y7, you need the y8 throttle body's 'throttle cable attachment piece.'
If you were to use a y8 IM on your car, you simply get one from an EX civic with automatic transmission (96-98 or 99-00 if you have a 99-00 car because of AIR INJECTION).
If this manifold has the two holes on the plenum for an IACV, it assumes your car is an EX. Simply plug those two holes firmly so that they don't leak out. Check the TB inlet on your y7 IM and this IM and make sure they are shaped the same so that you can use a stock TB gasket, and that the IACV on your stock y7 Throttle body can do its job.
Coolant Lines:
Yes the car runs coolant into the TB to keep it warm. Thermal expension and possible sticking in the cold winter was the reason Honda ran coolant into it. In the summer, you can bypass this to keep the intake air cooler at the TB for a tad more power.
if I'm confusing anyone, let me know. If you need pics, again, let me know.
