A buddy called me over to check out his swap. He swaped it and wont start. Wiring gone to hell. Dont ask wiring is all crazy. 97 LS motor swap. OBD0. 87 hatch was carb.

I have checked. TPS,MAP,Injectors, Coolant Temp. All lead to the right pin on the ecu. Car has spark and fuel pressure but the injectors will not pulse. Have power to injectors but ecu wont ground them to pluse. Check ground on ecu which are good.

One ? What makes the injector pulse? Like a pick up. Going to swap ecu tomerrow but he says it works. PR4.

Also used carb start stuff and the car started ( good spark and timing).

And what sensors will make the car not start if not working?

 

Forgot to mention that there is a cel 6 coolant temp. Plugged it in cel turned off but still dont start.

 

I thought you said the injectors werent pulsing. You used carp cleaner and it started up? thats a fuel problem.

 

do you have a main relay installed? that switches on the fuel pump AND injectors (power lead) and if its obd-0 do you have a resistor box installed? (from power lead from ecu/(main relay?) to resistor box then to each injector.

 

Have not checked the main relay yet. Yes i have the resistor box on with 90 integra injectors.

Ok heres the new stats. I pulled the rail out with injectors and cranked the motor and one injector shot and that was it. Cranked again and it shot once again. Going to check fuel pressure tomorrow. Make sure i'm getting the right psi's. This is all after fixing some more wires.

 

The injector drivers in the ecu control the injector by grounding pulse I believe.

 

Did you run a return line back to the gas tank? Since it was carbed before it does not have one. Too much fuel pressure the injector cant open.
