A friend of mine was in Germany and sent me these cuz he'd never seen them before. My car is about done after a long build so im kinda starting to get all of my parts together and installed, etc.
Ive searched and searched for pics of these installed, and havent found anything yet. They came out of a German VTi.

Has anybody seen these before? Pics installed? I know these are supposed to be a utility tray of some sort, and the install looks very simple (1 10mm bolt w/ large washer tapped into the trunk area), but does the EDM/GDM spare tire cover go over these?

Those look like they're screwed straight into the cardboard spare cover.

 

They are supposed to go under the particle board cover...

tho, i think there is more to it than just putting them under the board.

 

yup, that is screwed on the body (below the board cover). used to hold your tools and other stuff

hmm.. having a spot to put a small tool bag (which I keep) besides stuffed in your spare tire well. I wouldnt call that useless.

Yes, some EDM EG rear seats have headrests, like mine. Some have the "jdm" interior, & some have the same as US spec w/o headrests. Mine came from Germany.

Yes, I realize this. They bolt down to the body. I guess I was looking to see if anybody has seen these before installed. I believe the particle board goes over them, but there is some sort of foam padding on the bottom of the particle board on the 2 front corners so it makes for a level particle board surface. Thats the kind of info I was looking for confirmation on.

These are pointless. Any random crap you don't need often - place it under the spare tire.

 

discontinued, and no other descripton on what they are called... but atleast its proven it is a honda part..

You fasten these with a screw, and they go under the particle board. I took these out of my car when i made a new floor in my trunk, I didn't have any use for them...
