I searched, but I haven't found what I was looking for. Besides taking my front one out I was thinking about getting a new aftermarket sway bar for the rear of my 2000 Si. However I heard the sixth generation Civic has a weak subframe and I don't want to get an ASR kit because I want to stay in street-prepared and I think the ASR would kick me into SM. What sway bar is good out there?
Why not just get a Beaks subframe reinforcement kit? I used one on my '99 Si with a 24mm Mugen bar for road course and autocross, never had any problems with it. I don't know what it would to for classing, I was already in SM for other reasons, but it's just a couple of little metal mounting plates that distribute the load over a greater section of the subframe. Definitely do something if you go with a bigger bar though, the mounting area on my subframe was very flimsy.

The Beaks kit would be legal. I've seen a few subframe tearouts with it though. I have a Beaks kit now, but daily drive with the bar disconnected and only connect it for the track or AutoX as I'm afraid that the daily abuse would cause the subframe to eventually give in.

A lot of feed back! Thanks everyone! All in all, a 6th gen Civic with a rear sway bar and concerning reinforcement/not breaking the subframe and staying out of SM is pretty hard to work with. Also, I'll research the Suspension Tech., and the Beaks.
I daily drove and autocrossed my 98 civic ex for a year with the beaks kit and 22mm ITR sway bar. Never had any problems. I've since upgraded to the ASR bar though.
