Crx wont start

i have an 88 crx and i just swaped in a B16. its has a very unusual crank and the starter sounds very loud can that be reason why its not starting. what are some of the things i should check?? i believe am gettin fuel not sure bout spark.

I had to replace the starter that came with my JDM swap. was the car running fine then started to give you trouble or has it not started at all? if it was running fine before and just started to give you trouble then I would guess it's the starter.
