Advantages, disadvantages?? I know the carsound cat is about twice the cost, but I'm really sick of the fuggin' rattle of my dansucks.com testpipe. Opinions welcomed...
Test pipe = tree killer
You can save a few bone by ordering part #289-15187 (2.5" in/out 14" long 3-way universal cat) from http://www.jegs.com . Just make sure to get the O2 sensor bung. It's made for a small-block, so flow shouldn't be a problem.
It will have to be welded to fit, unlike the bolt-on stuff from Dave and Mike.

there aren't any performance gains going from a test pipe to a high flow cat. Usually you will see around 1-2 whp difference on they dyno between the two. Not worth it IMO. I went with the Carsound Marc

was it SMSP who posted the flow rates of cats and test pipes?...and the 2.5" carsound test flowed extremely well...
i like the carsound...besides, it is not worth the chance of getting BIG fine here in Socal...
