Default Exhaust Question (Flex Pipe)

The flex pipe on my 93 Accord Sedan has had a whole in it for awhile and now the muffler decided to fall off so i'm getting an exhaust system from NAPA to replace it. Question is, if i order an aftermarket header (ie 4-2-1 Megan Header) would it eliminate my flex pipe? Or does it connect to the flex pipe?

Also, if it DOES eliminate the flex pipe, wouldn't this be bad for the exhaust system since there's no where for the torque to go from the motor besides to my exhaust system?

I feel like a noob on this question being that i've replaced oem header for aftermarket ones before, its just been soo long since i've remembered

I just don't want to run into any more problems with the exhaust. Also, the price for the downpipe from NAPA was about 125 bucks itself I figured, for that price i could get a Megan header from eBay or something...

Thanks in advance!
