Problem with EF w/ 1st Gen B16

Had a problem this morning...started the car up and died after a second. After a second try, it started up. I drove off, flashed my blinker (left), and the car just died. I was able to start it up again after 2 tries (1st try started and died again after a second). Took a chance and hopped on the freeway...signaled left and it died again. I was able to start up the car again, exited and went back home to take a look at things. I wasn't able to duplicate the problem when i got to the house. Thinking everything was fine...i took off again, and this time it died under accelleration. Turned around, went back home, tightened all grounds again, no codes, made sure the fuel pump was priming, adjusted the idle, topped off my fluids, and took off again...this time i didn't die out. I didn't risk signaling 'til I got close to work, but when I did...no problems. Any ideas on what is going on? TIA

i remember that the turn signal circuit is tied in with something crazy important.....
ignition signal?? igniter if i remember correctly.

or don't signal from now on

 

haha...i didn't signal at all on my way to work. it's not dying right now either, but am worried that it will at any time.

TTT...anyone got some ideas?

 

Check voltage at battery when the cars on

Mine did that when I turned the headlights on when the alternator was about to go out

My alt would put out just enough to keep the car running I guess and when I would turn on the headlights it would die. I think I was getting like 13.6volts when that was happening

Changed the alt and problem was solved
