98 GSR oil consumption
About every 500Km I have to put about a quart of oil in the car. compression and leak down test were done and everything is fine, but the oil is going somewhere .Also getting black debris all over the back of the car. Any help would be appreciated thanks.
No leaks anywhere. This weekend for example I drove from ottawa to toronto to importfest, the oil was full when i left ottawa i checked it again befor i left toronto and the dip stick was dry. Also had a car wash earlier that day and the rear of the car was clean, when i got to toronto the back was cover with black stuff. I'm thinking the two might be related.

Most vtec b engines will burn oil on the vtec transition. If you are frequently going into and out of vtec, you'll burn more oil. My 00 GSR certianly does. I've had people following me, and they can tell as I rev when it engages, because the car pushes out a puff of blue smoke.
A catch can should help, as I've always heard it is from the PCV allowing oil into the intake. Something about a quick increase in blowby on the cam transition.
