Question for you hardtop owners - interior plastic
my mugen hardtop comes with interior panels for right hand drive. the only issue is the fuel door button opening. id have to cut a hole on the left side at least. im curious what other option is there. id rather no leave it bare.
i'm guessing the OEM hardtops come with interior plastic to match the rear strikers. would those work fine? are the OEM strikers the same as the mugen strikers?

you have to re use your oem panel, since the fuel lever is on the other side, about the strikers they are the same,
give me your ht and you wont have to deal with all these problems

Use the OEM pannels, but modify them.
Remove the brushes from the Mugen pannels and put them on the OEM pannels or else the OEM ones won't fit right.

i heard about these brushes. are these just the frilly things that the soft top kinda brushes against as it moves up and down? i guess i didnt pay attention, but why would that even matter...

Because the OEM ones prevent the pin from being able to be inserted into the hardtop striker. That was the problem I had untill I used the Mugen brushes with the OEM pannel.
You might not have this problem though if your car had hardtop brushes installed already. Some cars came with them from the Dealor.

yeah, i have no idea what youre talking about. im gonna have to take a better look next time.
so youre saying use my old interior, cut a hole for the striker, and put the brushes from the mugen interior on my old interior because its different.
what do ppl with OEM hard tops do? theirs comes with new interior panels, would that work? are they avialable from hardtop guy? his different "kits" confuse me too.

No.
The OEM brushes get in the way of the softtop and hardtop, you have to take the brushes off the Mugen pannels, and put them on the OEM ones. You dont have to cut anything, just remove the OEM brushes from the OEM pannles and replace them with the Mugens.
HTG offers the kits for hardtops, but all they do is change those brushes/ rear catchers/ front strakes/ defroster (00-01), their are no different interior pannels. All the item #'s are the same.

The Mugen pannels are the same as the OEM, only difference is the fuel door release cut out. Just swap the brishes and your fine
